Above and beyond - great service

After being dropped by another vendor a week before Christmas, I emailed Evetech asking if they would be able to fulfill the order in time. They responded within the hour saying that if I processed payment that day they would make a plan. I made the payment, and in paranoia sent a confirmation to the person who had responded, but by the time I'd clicked send I had already received a confirmation saying order placed.

The order arrived two days early. This is the third transaction I have made with them and I have to say I am utterly impressed.

I read a few other negative reviews on this site. Here are some responses in their defence...

1. A week to deliver from an online retailer is a fairly normal process if you think about the logistics of payment clearance, stock picking, sourcing stock if not in warehouse, processing with a logistics company, and then manahing the delivey of the logistics company, which is often not in their control.

2. Expecting same in December is unfair. If you place an order in December ALL the online vendors say you can expect delays and even the big T doesn't promise delivery in time.

3. If you are reading about them on Hello Peter, expect negative reviews. Very few people decide "ah, let me go and say well done". Which is why I'm writing this because they really went above and beyond, and deserve the recognition.

I always get burned in December because I do most of my shopping online. I was due the same until EveTech came through and saved my day. Just out of interest, the competitor (not big T, but maybe watch out for any "links") took no responsibility for refunding me and left the issue with the payment gateway, who were closed over Christmas so I was left without the cash.
