WITHDRAW OF PROMISE and NO PAYMENT at EVE'S BRIDAL My wedding gown named 'Hannah' by Maggie Sottero; second hand; paid for in full and never accepted delivery as the wedding got cancelled. No alterations were done. I asked EVES BRIDAL to resell the dress and was assured via email that I would get the whole amount back due to my special circumstance. EVES BRIDAL never contacted me when it was sold, claiming they had lost my details. They retracted their initial promise on the basis of a 'general resale and hiring contract' which states that I would only get 50% of the amount because they need to clean, mend and store a dress after it's been returned- this is not applicable because I NEVER took delivery. They were not open for negotiation, so I relented, accepting the 50%. They delayed payment for a further month and then only paid a portion of what they said they would pay. I was promised the top up at the end of the month-which is now 8 days late. I was repeatedly given the run around, having to query and follow up and do the legwork to get responses throughout this process. EVES BRIDAL is running a ********** business hidden underneath a sparkling veneer. An honest retailer would negotiate a better deal in such a situation. AND PAY what they had promised.
