Poor service

Terrible Service from Evans Swimming Pool Services ***) I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Evans Swimming Pool Services. The gentleman repaired a hole in my pool on Wednesday, 26 August, and I paid the full amount of R2,500 on the same day. He instructed me not to fill the pool that evening and advised me to fill it the following Thursday, as he would return to reconnect the pipes and add the necessary chemicals. Unfortunately, this did not happen as promised. He was apparently busy on Friday and could not attend to the pool. He then said he would come on Saturday, but again did not show up, stating that he was busy. On Sunday, I did not contact him, and he also made no attempt to contact me or provide an update. On Monday, I once again had to follow up with him. He eventually arrived after 18:30. There was also a negative exchange when I asked who would remove the rubble and debris left next to the pool. This debris came directly from the pool during the repair, and my understanding was that the service I paid for included cleaning up afterwards. Overall, the communication was extremely poor, the job was not completed within the timeframe promised, and I had to constantly follow up just to get the work finished. Very, very disappointing service. Paying R2,500 upfront and then having to repeatedly chase a service provider to complete the job is simply not acceptable. I would expect much better communication, professionalism and accountability from a service provider.
