Want to be treated like a dog? Book with Europcar
Over 3 weeks ago I sent this complaint to Europcar. Guess what, they not bothered about customer service, still no reply. Want to be treated like a dog? Book with Europcar. See my complaint below
This morning (08/10/2022) I returned the rental vehicle for the above mentioned reservation number (***) to Windhoek airport. Unfortunately, the drop off experience was absolutely **********. I have not experienced such awful customer service in a very long time. It is indeed a pity that Europcar is willing to allow their customers to experience such dreadful treatment as their final interaction with their organisation. I will certainly have to think very carefully before booking with Europcar in the future.
Europcar advertises that this branch opens at 05:00, however, on arriving at 05:45 one is “welcomed” by nothing more than a security guard who has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever, he doesn’t greet and certainly doesn’t understand the processes at all. He has not even been trained to use the words “hello”, “good morning”, “please” and “thank you” in his interaction with customers, rather barks commands and orders, affording the customer no dignity at all. Even more shocking is that this security guard expected me to sign a blank post inspection form. What customer in their right mind will sign a blank post inspection form? Leaving whoever to fill in whatever they want at a later time, which then already has my name and signature as verifying this information as correct, over which I have no say at all. Obviously Europcar has provided very little training, if any, to this security guard, he has no clue of the purpose of a post inspection form and therefore cannot fathom why a customer would refuse to sign such a blank form. When faced with such frustration his problem resolution method is to raise his voice and shout, with no understanding that he is talking with a customer who deserves respect. Where has Europcar ever heard that shouting at a client is the best way to resolve issues? This is the worst treatment I have experienced and is a very clear reflection of the values of Europcar as an organisation, which is very sad.
I kindly request that this matter be investigated as a matter of urgency.
