Voyager / Europcar *******
I reserved a car with 200 free km per day and a rate of R2.16 per km for extra km's AS CONFIRMED ON THE RESERVATION FORM. TOTAL COST QUOTED:R742 (Reservation number: ***)

I asked the Europcar Agent at their call centre if I could use some of my VOYAGER miles reduce the cost, and they advised that I COULD HIRE THE CAR AT NO COST by obtaining a voyager reward certificate, which I did.

After the rental - Europcar charged my credit card with R1107!!! (This amount excludes refuelling and tolls - which I would obviously need to pay)

The terms on the final invoice were completely different: Only R100 free km per day and a higher rate of R2.65 plus other misc charges. - NOBODY IN EUROPCAR ADVISED ME of the changed conditions of contract applicable to Voyager certificates -in my book this is misrepresentation. Promising one thing but delivering another.

When I wrote a an e-mail to complain - I GOT NO RESPONSE. Two weeks later I phoned the call centre. Apparently they received my complaint, forwarded it to the relevant manager at Lanseria, who \declined"it"
