Unwarranted deduction

Europcar deducted an additional R178.45 from my deposit amount in relation to reservation number ***. They allege that the amount is for fuel because the tank was not full when the vehicle was returned to CT Airport on the 11th of Jan 2016. My wife and I specifically asked the person who accepted the return to check that the car is undamaged and that the tank is full. I therefore disputed the additional deduction and provided Europcar with a copy of the fuel slip when we filled up the tank at BP Cape Town Airport. This was approx. 10 min before we returned the vehicle. <br> <br> Despite e-mails and phone calls and a promise to escalate it to a branch manager I have had no response.<br> <br> While this may be a relatively small amount this is a principle issue. Deducting small amounts without proper cause is questionable conduct. <br> <br> My company and I have used Europcar on various occasions, but I would rather not deal with them any further.
