THE HARASSMENT I ENDURED FROM EUROPCAR!!

My Mercedes Benz car is insured with King Price. I had a minor accident on my car and I took it in for repairs. King Price Insurance hired a courtesy car for me from Europcar. Europcar confirmed to me that I had to keep the courtesy car for 15 number of days. On the 8th day, before my car was ready for collection, I received a message from Europcar demanding their car back. I then called King Price and enquired about this. I was told that I could still keep the courtesy car until my car was complete. I even received the confirmation of the extension. On the 13th of August 2025, I received the message from the panel beaters that my car was complete. Since the message came in the afternoon around 16h00 and I was not around to pick it up, I told them I would pick it up on the following day, the 14th of August 2025. Before I could even pick up my car from the panel beaters, on the 14th of August, Europcar was alreay calling me and sending messages demanding their car back. Imagine when I had to take the car, I was asked to choose the suitable and convinient time for me to pick it up. When they demanded their car back, I was instructed to return it at 07h38! According to their communication that I received before collecting the car, their office hours were between 08h00 - 17h00 during weekdays, but I was demanded to return the car @07h38! Imagine! I had to cancel the morning lecture with my students which starts @07h30, I had to bit the heavy morning traffic, sothat their "courtesy" car was back with them, "timeously"! This time around, nobody asked me about the suitable time to return the car! Even after I had dropped off the car @08h20, on my way to the panel beaters, I still received a harsh call from Europcar demanding the car which I had already returned! While I was waiting for my car at the panebeaters, I received another harsh text message @ 09h01, threatening me that should I not return the car "timeously", additional days shall be billed to me. Just imagine! I had not refused to return their car but I could not be given space and time to negotiate when to bring it back.

I suggest that Europcar management, PLEASE train their staff on communication skills..... they do not know and have no clue of what customer care is. It is very ironical that I went there to collect a courtesy car, but there is no courtesy in that company! I guess they they just grabbed desperate and angry people from the street and gave them jobs. This is NOT the way you treat clients!
