Terrible experience!

Unfortunately my recent rental with George Airport branch wasn't a good experience.

It started with getting the wrong car. I booked a medium car, Toyota Quest 1.8 or similar. We got a Kia Sedan. The branch also told me that I had only requested normal insurance cover but I had actually paid for premium insurance. The website states that the deposit is just over R5000 but the deposit I had to put down was over R10000. Then the most shocking and worst part of this rental is when driving back to the airport to drop the car off it was raining and I barely had control over the car. It was extremely dangerous as the car was sliding all over the place. I couldn't understand why this was like this. When we got the depot to drop the car off my husband checked the tyres and we made the shocking discovery that the front tyres were smooth to the metal of the tyre. This is extremely dangerous and the fact that we didn't land up having an accident during the 5day rental is an absolute miracle. I have always rented from europcar as its a trusted car rental company worldwide, but this experience has been absolutely atrocious. I feel that myself and my family{ I have a 11month old that was in the car with us} were put at risk due to the negligence of your poor car maintenance.
