Stressful Process

Had an accident and the matter took long to be resolved. When the claim was finalized, I was told to pay 15k within 7 days. I feel cornered. I mean who has 15k just lying around. The process was stressful and now I have to stress about the 15k. I don't understand why don't they pay their portion and we'll worry about the 15k. Pay and minus the 15k
