Questionable and ***** behaviour

We reserved a car for Saturday (29th July) morning at the King Shaka Airport.

We arrived, to a car with a dead battery. Got the next car available in the parking. Inspected the new vehicle with the "Quality inspector" who noted the cosmetic issues on the car. In his inspection, he never went to lift up the wipers to see if there are any stone chips. We were none the wiser. On our return, we had another "Quality inspector" who checked the car but he lifted the wipers to check and found a stone chip under the wiper. Now because of that stonechip which is hidden under the wiper, I have to pay an additional R2400. I asked the car park manager on a call since she sent me emails of the chip, for which you have to lift the wipers to take, for the a picture of the chip with the wipers down and she's said that the chip has already been fixed and therefore we can't provide that proof. They also spoke about surveilance video of the vehicle inspection indicating that the wipers were never lifted to check for the stone chip and they seemed reluctant even though they brought it up.

I've always used Europcar and recommended to friends and family but this experience is like a punch to the gut. My faith in this is gone.
