Overcharged and cannot prove their own actions.

We recently flew to Durban (King Shaka) where we hired a Ford Fiesta. Upon arrival everything was quick and easy. We received a car on 16 Km's (full tanked) and we drove about 190 km after that for just 2 days. We then returned the car on a full tank back at King Shaka. Everyting looked fine and the drop was seemless. The next day I get an invoice charging us an extra R150 (refuel cost and a refuel admin cost! haha). I then asked Europcar to prove that they filled up the car and why they charged that amount. The response I was received was - we dont have proof of fill but just a log book for evidence. How can an international car rental company not prove their fill ups? How do we know they are not doing this to everyone that comes to drop the car off? If they do this to people who most likely dont car about the additonal charges because they can afford it, how much money are they *****ing from customers??
