“One-way” fee not explained and Manager Nicolan was very unprofessional
Hired a car from Europcar at the King Shaka Airport branch to be dropped off in Sandton. During the booking process and confirmation of accepting the rental we were not told about the “one-way” fee that they were going to add onto my bill. After dropping off their vehicle, a few days later I received my deposit back into my account however I was surprised as to why I as charged such a hefty amount. When I enquirer at the branch that I had dropped of the vehicle at, I was told that there is R1200 fee charged as the location that I had dropped off the car was different from the one where I collected. After leaving them a “call me back” on their survey, I received a call from Nicolan who claims he is the manager of the branch where I collected the vehicle. Firstly he has no s****s when interacting with people, everytime I spoke he cut me off, that is very rude of him and by the looks of things seems like he didnt call me to resolve the matter but more like to question me about the whole scenario. He then goes on to ask me if I would like to speak to consultant that assist me, I asked him if you are the manager who is dealing with the complaint, why would I want to speak to consultant. He insists that I was told about the one-way fee as it says on the system - wait - so the system can tell you everything that I input? A system that your staff member does all the work? The one that she ticked “Yes” even though I was not explained? He advised that there is nothing he can do to help me and that was it. This is an extemely unprofessional and an unpleasant experience that I have had with Europcar and if this is the way they speak to and treat their clients, then its sad to say that they really dont care about their clients. All they care about is the money and how they can rip people off
