No Feedback
In November 2016 I was in a car accident and my insurance gave me a courtesy car from Europcar. This rental car was then ****** and I was asked to pay an excess amount of R3643 in order to get a new rental car. I paid an amount of R3643 for the excess on 29/11/2016 in the Europcar Centurion office using their card machine and received my new rental.
Then in February 2017 I started receiving calls and emails from Zandile Buthelezi in their collections department asking me to pay an outstanding amount of R3929 for the outstanding excess. With every call and every email I explained my story and told her that I already paid in the Centurion office with the dates and amounts and was promised that she will investigate and get back to me (which never happened).
Then today, 9 months after my accident, I received a call from an external collections company advising me that I have been handed over because of my outstanding amount, which is now over R4000.
Europcar refused to give me a new car unless I payed the excess for the ****** car. So if I did not pay the excess, how was I then given the second car?
Europcar need to get their administration sorted out as well as their customer service, to this day I never received any feedback from their internal collections department (Zandile Buthelezi was handling this matter), I was just handed over as I suppose it is easier to hand someone over, rather than looking into the matter.
