Insurance Claim on Rental

We received a rental car from Euopcar through Santam. Upon receiving the vehicle on 06/12/2016, we noticed scratches and small dents all over the vehicle, even on the roof. We noted all the damages on the 'Vehicle Quality Passport'. The quality passport was supposed to be completed by the depot, but it was not and we had to complete it. The driver actually wanted to leave us the vehicle without us even checking it!!! After returning the vehicle on 16/12/2016, Europcar lodged a damage claim against us for hail damages on the roof (we did note damages on the roof, but did not specify it as hail damage). The was no hail in Pretoria during the period that we had the vehicle and we are waiting for Tracker report to prove this.

BE VERY AWARE, this is the 3rd instance I've heard of where Europcar institutes claims for damages not incurred during the current rental agreement!!!!

So, the 'revert to you as soon as possible' happened today enquiring on when we will start paying of the claim. I've requested a Tracker report to prove that we did not drive in any hail affected area during our use of the vehilce. Have not even received that yet.
Shocking!!!
