i was a customer...
Never again should you sign the QC Inspection sheet you receive with your keys, BEFORE the car park attendant has done an inspection and recorded the faults on the sheet, REGARDLESS as to what the customer service person says. The sheet showed no damage; I found 2 scratches and a crack on the bumper, and called the car park attendant to witness these, which he duly recorded on the sheet. Take photos of all damage and inspection sheets. Europcar want to bill me for the damage approx R4000, saying the inspection sheet I left in the car for them, was not there. Back and forth, and they finally admit that there WAS prior damage on the bumper, but that I caused additional damage. So how do they know this unless they found the inspection sheet with the car park attendants damages recorded? they still refuse to admit their mistake and have now gone back to the original inspection sheet as evidence of no damage! Bully boy tactics....after 20 years our firm is now an ex-customer.
