Europcar - the biggest ****mer in Rental Car business - STAY AWAY!!!!!

I rented a vehicle on Lanseria Airport in February 2024 and took out comprehensive insurance. Upon return of the vehicle, there were scratches on the car and Europcar took MY ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT as well. Fair enough, I understand how it works. However, low and behold, I received a phone call from some credit bureau last week to say that I had been handed over and still owe Europcar R226.53!!!! That is prepostorous - (1) how can I still owe them money? (2) and where does the amount of R226-53 come from? Even if the entire car was resprayed, the insurance and security deposit would have more than covered it!! I feel this is a complete rip-off and the audacity to hand someone over the R226, is totally unprofessional!!! EUROPCAR - SHAME ON YOU!!!!
