Europcar South Africa Staff overtime

Currently its come to our attention that Europcar is not paying their staff the overtime they are working for. On their payslips is shows Saturday 1.5 but Sundays 0.5????

Also the manangers are changing the staff shifts to 8 hours a day and they are not allowed to work 1 hour a day longer to ensure they have the 45 hours they need a week to start earning over time when they are working on weekends. This basically means they have to work 5 hours on a weekend before they even start earning overtime.

This is absurd. And obviously against the law. When staff dont take their lunch they are still getting penalties on that half an hour and regardless if their lunch half hour is being used or not. It still get deducted from their time sheet.

Also on numerous occasions they have paid staff double over time by mistake. Which ended in them taking all of it back at once the following month without any staff members concent or signing off anything. Or even notifying them of the amount that will be deducted. They only find out once their salaries have been paid.

For a massive company like Europcar, their junior staff is getting paid next to nothing and they still manage to get away with not paying them the correct overtime.
