Europecar gave me a car with enough gas to last 815km. I returned the car with about 840km in the tank. They still charged me for refueling and a service fee for refueling. When I enquired about it, I was informed that they needed to check if the tank was full...at my expense. They did eventually reverse the charge but they missed the whole point about ********* behavior, because not everyone is going to check their invoices like I did and Europecar is going to continue slipping charges under the radar.

Oh and just be aware that where other rental companies may give you 15min or so grace to return the vehicle, Europecar triggers an additional day charge 1min after the return time. No prior warning upon collection. No questions asked. But they will text you a reminder to pick up the vehicle days in advance.
