Bad Service

A man by the name of "Manishevitz Haim" recently crashed into my car while utilizing the company's rental car, claiming he couldn't see on the road because the lighting wasn't clear. This man and his wife assured me that the company, Europcar, would take care of the damages because they've only rented and the car isn't theirs. The following morning I called the company to alert them of the issue, and I was asked to attain the Accident Report and take it to the nearest branch, which is in Witbank, Mpumalanga. I then waited weeks before anything was communicated back. Had to follow-up with another call, where they now told me that the issue has been escalated with someone who deals with the claims within the company, and only then did I receive an email from them requesting me to fill-in an accident claim form. After filling-in the form, I waited for a claim number because I couldn't send it back without one. Again, I had to follow-up. After weeks, which eventually turned into a month of constant stress, worry and following-up with this matter, the company suddenly tells me they're not liable to fix my car because their client apparently didn't take insurance with them. In all honesty, how ridiculous is this? My car is literally a mess. It's utilized for taking the kids to school, and for commuting to work. As a rental company, how is it not compulsory for your clients not to take insurance? This is nonsensical!
