Bad Service and Communication from Europcar Head Office.

To start off I want to thank the Vanderbijlpark branch for their good and friendly service. However I am not happy with Head Office. On 02 September I received a whatsapp stating my reservation is confirmed but the RA (***) was for Mr L Siphoma. I rep**** and stated it was wrong so it was corrected. On Monday 9 September I collected the vehicle and paid R2000 holding deposit. On Wednesday 9 October the vehicle had to be back as my insurance did not want to extend my rental for more than the 30days that I pay for. On Wednesday 16 October the amount of R620 was paid back into my account. When I phoned the branch they stated that the rental was extended for an additional 4 days from head office side which did not make sense as I had the vehicle only for 30 days and not 34 and my insurance did not want to extend the rental. A query was locked and R1300 was paid back into my account on 20 October 2024. On 21 October 2024 I went to the Vanderbijlpark branch as I had another query and the lady asked me if head office has send me an invoice and I stated no. She then printed the invoice but my details on it was incorrect as it still states Mr L Siphoma.

To date I have not received any communication that my rental was extended by them for 4 additional days, no apology email from them for wrongly taking my money as they decided to extend my rental and still not received the correct invoice from them. For such a big company this is totally unacceptable. They cant just take a clients money and not even have the decency to inform them the reason why. It is the responsibility of Europcar to at all times communicate with clients and not the responsibility of the client to keep following up on queries as there is no communication from Europcar.
