Avoid Europcar

Dreadful company. I rented a one-day car from them at OR Tambo, waited 20 mins in the queue, car was parked at the other end of the garage, no attendant in sight, noticed a scratch on bumper but couldn't understand their checklist (thought it was marked). When I returned the vehicle they took my entire R4,000 deposit (despite having super waiver). Never accounted for it, assumed I was at fault (instead of their sloppy attendants) and I had enormous difficulty in ever reaching anyone at the company to discuss it or complain about it. Still waiting for an explanation/refund (ha ha).
