Pathetic Customer Service
I bought shoes on the 8th of Dec at Eastgate. The shoes was R1799 and the sole of one shoe was yellow in color instead of white but the sales person told me I should just wipe it out with handy Andy and the sole will be white. I did that but the color didn’t change. I wore the shoe once and when I removed the shoe I realized One shoe was damaged Inside and the stitch ripped. I took the shoe back and I was told told it needs to be sent to Headoffice for assessment. I spoke to the manager at Headoffice called Lana as I expected to exchange the shoe because I live far and wouldn’t manage to come back as it was a costly exercise. She was so rude and actually told me I cannot exchange the shoe as I might have damaged it myself. She was so proud to tell me I can put the matter on all social media platforms she doesn’t care..., I mean Really??? Wow...to my shock, The staff at Eastgate further told me that if their shoes are damaged they actually repair them as they don’t refund. Who buys a shoe for 1800 and have it repaired after 4 days of purchase. This company is a **** operating like a fast food chain. I want my money back as I will not accept a repaired shoe for the money I spent or atleast an exchange. I bought from them expecting quality/value for my money otherwise I could have easily gone to Pep stores or Chinese shops for a cheaper shoe of R200 had I needed a shoe that required repair after a week/month. I am extremely unhappy and wouldn’t recommend this shop to anyone. I have bought shoes from Zara, Preview, hush puppy, green cross and had never experienced such a pathetic service. I will take this matter further if this matter is not resolved. ***
