Europa Art shoes that did not last me a day and I can't get a refund!

I bought a pair of shoes from Europa Art for R2 590,00. I wore the shoe the next day and walked on a tarred surface for less than 300 metres. The sole of the shoe appeared scuffed and showed signs of separating from the tip. The next morning I phoned Europa Art Shoes at Sandton City where l had purchased the shoes and l was told to return the shoes for assessment at their head office. I returned the shoes the following day which was a Friday and did not get a response until this week Thursday. I then called the shop and was informed that the head office had responded and it's just that no one had sent me the feedback. I then asked for the feedback and was sent the Inspection Sheet with feedback which said 'No factory fault found. The sole of these shoes is made of leather. Unlike shoes made from rubber, and synthetic materials, leather sole shoes breathe and keep the feet cool which makes it more comfortable. The tip on the shoe was knocked, scuffed due to customer negligence.'

I'm devastated, l would never be negligent with a shoe worth R2 600. I'm an ordinary worker such that R2 600 means a lot to me. This is not my first shoe from Europa Art but it's definitely my last. The reason why l opted to buy an expensive shoe is so that it could last me. It doesn't make sense the shoe would start falling apart after wearing it for a few hours. It's supposed to endure the test the of time. No one disclosed this whole explanation about a leather sole when l bought the shoes. I contacted the head office yesterday, was informed they would call be back an no one called me. I then phoned again this morning and was told they cannot help me and l must feel free to take this up wherever l wish to. This is most pathetic customer experience that I've ever encountered. The shoes have been returned to the Sandton City store and l will not be collecting them, they can keep them.
