Worst Airline in Africa

I booked a flight to South Africa on Malawian Airlines operated by Ethiopian Airways (ticket ***, Airline PNR YRABVV). I was due to leave Lilongwe on 3 December at 08:10 and arrive in Jhb 11:35 same day. The flight only left at 22:45 (Yes at night) after some engine issues which took the whole day to fix. So we spent the whole day sitting in the airport without an clear indication as to when we would be leaving or if the flight would still continue.

As if that was not enough, my return ticket was on the same airline which I did an online check in early in the morning, drove all the way to the airport from Pretoria only to be told that the flight had been cancelled. And we would have to join 1 long queue from which we would be told if we would still be able to fly or not on an alternative flight.

Now what really annoys me is the poor quality service provided at the airport when Ethiopian Airlines was attending to our debacle. They used 1 counter to attend to everyone on this flight, and every individual was taking an average of 15-20 mins. Why not open more counters to better serve the customers you have already frustrated and inconvenienced with you own poor service. 3 hours to change a plane ticked is utter ******* and disgusting customer service ESPECIALLY when you have free check in attendants sitting at free check in counters on their phones as if its perfectly normal to deliver such *******.

For really BAD service you can depend on Ethiopian AIRLINES any day
