No refund with Ethiopian airlines

I am absolutely furious with @ethiopianairlines We booked a trip to Thailand for June 2020 Covid happened We where given an extension to rebook until December 2021 We are not allowed to fly to Thailand from South Africa. @ethiopianairlines refuses to refund our ticket, even though we cannot fly and quite frankly could probably not afford a trip like after everything we've been through for the last year (surviving through covid) They are offering to fly us to a destination they fly to and we don't have to quarantine (this gives us VERY limited options) Anything we book, we would need to repay the airport taxes. Once again financially a vacation is actually not on the cards for this year How is it that every single person I have spoken to has received a Full refund but it is impossible from @ethiopianairlines??? Absolutely disgusting service whilst the whole world is going through a pandemic they still want to rob us of our money
