Be very vigilant when you fly Ethiopian airlines . Bruce liam was on a ET433/ET809 on 2 February 2019 from Doha on route to SA . On arrival in Addis Ababa to take a connecting flight to SA there was a 12 hours delay with numerous passengers missing their luggage Eventually a flight was scheduled on 3 February .he was stopped by immigration because there was no exit stamp in his passport . He missed the flight as a result and was detained for the night . On 4 February he was released and was a assisted by a staff member who obtained a list of all passengers that boarded the Doha flight . It was send to immigration. He was then told his ticket will not be honored as it was not their mistake . The assistant obtained authorization from a manager for a 50% discount . However when it was time to purchase the ticket the manager who authorized it left the office allready and when another manager was approach she refused to give the discount . He was forced to wait for the manager who authorized it the next day . In doing so proved futile as the following day there was a huge uproar about the discount and it was cancelled and the boss refused to reconsider, was rude , and totally disrespectfull by ignoring the travellers plight . Truth be told if this was another airline , it would not have happened . Apart from the lady that assisted and allowed Bruce to sleep in her office overnight . The rest , particularly their boss has empathy for their travelers at all.
