Ethiopian voucher means nothing

Our flight was cancelled due to Border closures. Ethiopian air sent us a voucher. We wanted to rebook but was told there were no more seats available at the price we paid. Our upgrade would cost $300 per ticket for one way extra. All Ethiopian flights cost more since covid so there is no way you will be able to use your voucher without paying in. I will not fly with Ethiopian airlines again.
