Ethiopian Airlines not refunding a ticket

My Daughter is a student at UCT and planned a trip for her 2020 mid year holidays to Europe via Ethiopian Airlines. Due to Covid Lockdown in 2020, all flights were cancelled. She moved her flights to 2021, but due to the continued Covid Lockdown, her schedule has become unpredictable and has requested her flight be cancelled and that Ethiopian Airlines refund her for the ticket.

they refuse and use some draconian policies that her ticket cannot be refunded. She is a student and needs these funds for her studies.

Ethiopian airlines have just blatantly ignored her and my numerous requests via email and telco attempts.

Please can someone help?
