DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE AND NO COMPASSION FOR CUSTOMERS

After finding out that the CVS of my vw sharan were ******ed I looked in Google to find out which was the best place to do my CVS. I saw ETHEKWINI CV JOINTS was rated the highest. I decided to take my vehicle there. I was there with my family before 6 in the morning as my niece had a hospital appointment, waiting for them to open. At 7 the shop opened and I spoke to the owner Sheldon regarding my problem. He told me to do the CVS inner and outer will be R1150,00. After I agreed he said it would take an hour to open. At 9 h00 he told me that the outers were ******ed badly and needed to be replaced and the inners could be serviced. After taking out my CVS and having my car on the stands he told me the price is now R1800,00 each because he knew I would have no choice but to accept his price as my vehicle was not drivable at the moment and my family and I were all standing at the door with no options. After another 2 hours the car was sorted. With us standing at the entrance for over 4 hours. While trying to remove the stands the employee at Ethekwini placed the jack on the beeding of my vw sharan damaging it and trying to cover it up. When i saw it the owner decided to put it on the ramp and and tried to cover up the damage. When it wasn't repaired the way it was supposed to be I got angry and asked them to reduce the price so that I could get it repaired. He refused saying that if I didn't pay the total due he was not going to release my vehicle and that it will stay on the ramp. I had no choice but to pay the full amount of R3600,00 which was given when my vehicle was stripped, instead of what I was initially quoted in the morning R1150,00 a side giving me a total of R2300,00.
