EAAB PREVENTING SOUTH AFRICANS WHO ABIDE BY THEIR REGULATIONS FROM EARNING AN INCOME. I went for my first module for NQF 4 on the 12 February 2020. We are now at the end of February and despite daily attempts - both online and contacting the call center I am unable to register - it keeps coming up with there are errors with your registration. When I initially followed up with the EAAB I was told that they had problems with their online registration. It is now 2 weeks later and this matter has not been resolved. Surely after having a problem for this length of time, the EAAB would have put in place another temporary solution. I have spent a small fortune in cell phone charges. Each call there is typically a 15 minute hold. Today after holding I was disconnected after 15 minutes and when I called back had to hold another 15 minutes. I understand that there needs to be a board to control estate agency practices - but at this point they are not controlling they are actually preventing people who abide by their rules from earning an income. No one has the right to do that. To compound issues there is no light at the end of the tunnel - no one can give a definitive answer as to when this problem will be resolved. In the interim I have no opportunity to earn an income as I am unable to apply for my FFC as I am unable to register online. In this economic climate if individuals who are able and willing to work, and abiding by the laws that regulate NO ONE SHOULD HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROHIBIT THEM FROM WORKING because of their own internal issues.
