EAAB ******* TO THE CORE

They are so *******! I have been having issues with them in trying to renew my Fidelity Fund Certificate so I can practice as an intern estate agent legally. At first they told me I have penalty fees that must be paid because 15 years ago an agency I worked for went bankrupt and closed down. At the time I was told I had been deregistered. So I have fifteen years worth of penalties against me. So I go to their head office in Sandton four times to sort this out. I provide proof that I have not been in the industry for those fifteen years and I even have a affidavit handed to them (which they refused). But while I was there, they told me they cancelled the penalty fees and that I must just pay the renawal fee. I was wanting to do so at their offices but they were "offline". So I paid with an EFT and provided ALL the documents they asked for more than three times! No, I must still pay the penalties. They refuse to let me speak to a manager or supervisor and will not give me the certificate till I pay the penalties. After eight phone calls, over twenty emails and five visits to their head office in Sandton, they still have not done their job, treated me with disrespect and have disrespected the law of South Africa over and over again. I will be taking legal action against them. There seems to be no one who polices and monitors them. They are ******* to the core!

There are decent agents out there and they are been constantly abused by the EAAB.
