PURCHASED ITEMS AT ESSOPS LINEN HOME PROTEA GLEN, CAME BACK 30 MINUTES LATER ASKING FOR A REFUND AND THEY WONT REFUND ME

On Saturday 18th April 2026, at around 16:26, I purchased 2 curtain rails and 2 sets of double brackets at Essops Linen House in Protea Glen and asked the Asnath who was assisting me to leave my items at their store as I was still going to other shops around the mall and she agreed. So the curtain rails and the color of the curtain rails I purchased was black but that was not the color and design I was looking for, but I ended up taking the black color and that design anyway. The curtain rails I have at home are the normal rails that uses hooks but the ones I bought are not of hooks. As I was still at the mall It then clicked that I bought wrong curtain rails cause they don't have hooks. The lady at the store had told me that they closed at 17:30 and I should be back before that time, and I made sure I got back to the store before 17:30. I then explained to them that I actually bought wrong curtain rails and that I would like for a refund, then I was told the shop dont refund and that I should exchange for linen/bedding, I then explained that I wasnt shopping for linen or bedding but mainly for curtain rails. The manager then told me he cant help me with a refund. Can Essops Linen House just refund me as I am now stuck with these curtain rails. Imagine purchasing at a store, leave your items with them then come back 30 min later and ask for a refund only for them to deny you a refund. What kind of customer service is this. this was my first and last purchase at this store because what do they mean they do refund??? Please can they just refund my money back so I can back off. What a disappointment from such a big store. What kind of a policy is this? The manager then told me to leave with my items, I am now atuck with these items at home. I want my money back. What I have learned is that Essops Linen House dont care about Treating Customers Fairly. (TCF)
