Essops :RietfonteinBoksburg Inv:1808.Defectected couch sold at 18 000

I bought a corner couch at Essops Rietfontein Boksburg at 18 000 cash in February 2017.*** After 7 months it started to get torn on th stiches and colour fadingout. I was informed by the salesman/Owner that it is pure leather and indeed it appeared to be leather upon display but I have noticed later it is plastic.

I reported my query at the shop in that the couch is defected and the salesman/owner promised that they will send their personnel for inspection and nothing had happened till to date.

I have escalated my query to the consumer council with no cooperation from Essops.Instead they have once rep**** and **** in that they have sent someone for inspection and they can only offer me to take anything at the value of 14 000

My question was that a couch to a value of 18 000could not last for a year;what more about a couch amounting 14000

All I need is my money back or a couch of the same value of money I purchased with. Kindly assist.
