Do not buy at Essops you will be disappointed and then ghosted, worst buying experience

I bought my couch last week Wednesday from Essops using their whatsapp portal whereby I discussed through whatsapp and was subsequently sent a quotation of the couch I wanted on email which I immediately paid. I was informed that if I wanted the delivery to be on the same day I should make it an instant transfer and also pay a delivery fee of R950 otherwise paying a delivery fee of R750 would mean that the couch is only delivered when the payment reflects on their bank account. On Thursday and after calling the same whatsapp number I was told that indeed the payment reflected and they were now arranging my delivery with their dispatch department. On Friday I called in again only to be told that delivery was only going to be on Monday as there was a 72 hours delivery period only for those who paid R950 and with my delivery fee of R750 only qualified for delivery after 72 hours which was a new information now.

Fine, I accepted and took a day off on Monday for me to receive my couch which I was very excited about as I have eyed that couch on the internet from the beginning of the year. On Monday the delivery guys came and lo and behold the couch was not the color that is on the internet, it was different completely from the Light Grey as per their internet image. I showed the delivery guys the color I had ordered and they were the first to confirm that it was not light grey but was rather cream, light brownish. I called in my cousin and showed her the color and she also confirmed that it was cream. I then sent through the pictures of the couch that was being delivered to the same Essops whatsapp number that I had been communicating through and the person also confirmed that indeed it was not the grey as per the internet. She then said that they had another shade of grey that she would show me and indeed she sent me a picture of a dark grey. I responded that I did not like dark grey as it would not blend with everything else in my house that had already been bought in preparation for the light grey couch, the color combination in the house was against ark grey. I also asked that they send me a picture of the shade of white that they have on the same couch which was never sent to me till now.

After having exhausted all these options I asked for a refund and that was now on Tuesday. Today is Friday and there has been absolutely no communication with me on the status of my refund. Essops has been earning interest on My R35 749 quietly, completely disrespecting me, not updating me on what is happening.

I am very frustrated at this point with this lack of communication amidst all this disappointment! Essops please bring back my money that I work hard for.
