Useless rather choose a eal medical aid
On the 30th of December 2014 I had an emergency with my son before rushing to the hospital I called essential med emergency call center and ask If there is any fee that I need to pay when I get to the hospital and If i even can go the call centro agent rep**** to me no upfront payment and I can go to my nearest hospital. When I got to the hospital I was told that essential med refuses to pay and I have to pay R750 before my son can be consulted. I paid the money and called essential med to cancel the policy. No deductions took place in January and suddenly in February they deduct 3 payments equaling R4700 after numerous emails I still have no response from them. I then thought seeing as they took the money I might as well go to the dentist the dentist then came back to us saying essential is med is not paying again our benefits have been suspended. OMG Why are you *********** people like this I want my money back!!!

One of consultants was in contact with you this morning advising that we only received your cancellation request this morning via email at 10:45 from Mrs Martin who is not the principle member. We advised you, we require a termination request from the principle member in order to terminate the policy.
We also requested a copy of the bank statement as according to our records we have not requested a debit order of R4700.00.
Please note that due to your non-payment on the 25th of January 2015 your benefits lapsed and therefore you were unable to utilize your dental benefits.
