Taking advantage of loyal policy holders
It's amazing how I can pay my premiums via debit order month after month, year after year, and yet when it comes to claiming what is due to me, they have all kinds of "internal rules and procedures" which did not appear in my policy, I did not sign for nor agreed to, but I'm only being made aware of when they have to pay up.
I've logged a complaint with the FSCA, I'm waiting on a consultant from African Unity Life to contact me and I'm logging a formal complaint with the ombudsman. And as soon as they've paid the insured amount, I'm cancelling my policy. In the last how many years I've claimed but a fraction of the premiums I've paid and it's shocking what sharks insurance companies can be.
Shame on them for taking advance of loyal policy holders who are asking that they honor their agreement for a fraction of what I've paid them over the years.
