Surprised and delighted

I have been very impressed and grateful for the assistance from EssentialMed over the last few weeks. This has been our first official 'emergency' with EssentialMed, and I was not sure what to expect. Many people have commented that using Medical Insurance would be a drawback in an emergency, but in our case, I have found each touch point a positive experience. From my first phone call with Douglas (I think that was his name) who assisted us right after the incident, in the emergency room, to getting the hospital authorisation cleared in record time by Africa Assist so that my son could have his operation. My endless phone calls to the call centre, where I was also assisted by a very patient consultant (I wish I could remember her name), and how professionally my claims have been handled. I have felt supported and grateful, as, without the support of EssentialMed, my son would not be well on his way to recovery.
