poor service
I had to cancel the medical policy I have with essential med because I could have possibly died waiting to be attended by most of the doctors they have on their list ,so for me to stop wasting my money I have sent through a cancellation form on Tuesday 02.06.2015 and all I have ever received is a automated receipt of email, to date no consultant has called ,I have tried calling the call centre as well instead I am told that it not an emergency therefore I am being transferred to a number that does not even exist, to say the list I am very disappointed ,this is the reason why people opt for trusted and known medical schemes, for me to give this group benefit of the doubt I have actually wasted my money and also risked my health.

Upon investigation we noticed that we received your cancellation request on the 8th of June 2015 and not the 2nd of June 2015. As per our policy documents we have a 30 day cancellation period, this is also stated on the cancellation form you filled in and signed. Your policy end date should be the 31st of July 2015, but we will accommodate you and cancel the policy on the 30th of June 2015. After the cancellation has been processed, you will receive a cancellation confirmation letter via e-mail.
Further we have checked all calls and there is no record of your call to Essential Med. When you call our call center, but chose the wrong option, you will be transferred automatically to our emergency center which is ER24. There is no record on your history with Essential Med of your struggle to find the doctor in your area. There are 7 available doctors in Kempton Park, we would gladly assist any client with such a query.
