pathetic service

1. signed up and essential med sent me a 1 card i paid for 2 and when they eventually sent my second card it was damaged and they had to resend once again.

2. i went to the doctor, the doctor prescribed meds, went to the pharmacy only to find out essential med does not cover the meds due to the fact that the doc is supposed to have the meds. (how would i know what the doctor has in stock?)

3.called in as my son was ill, needed some over the counter meds instead of going to the doctor.I then had to call and spoke to a medical nurse who then prescribed colclear paed, lol only to go to the pharmacy once again and the pharmacist then advised that it has been off the market for some time.

4.called to update my policy and remove hospital benefits, the consultant confirmed and advised that all is in order and sent me and updated policy. before ending the call i then confirmed again if my premium would change and the consultant agreed it would. So end of June and my account is debited for the exact same amount before my update. I call to query this and the accounts person now tells me i cant get my refund due to me not confirming the update of policy. I WAS THE ONE WHO CALLED AND INITIATED THE POLICY CHANGE.

I REGRET BEING A MEMBER IN EVERY WAY!!!!!!!!!

Good day,

Thank you for bringing your concerning matter under our attention.

Upon investigation it was established that the new cards were sent out and received.

The Network Dr has signed an agreement and they must stay within the contract that they have signed. If you make use of a Dr who dispenses medication he/she is not allowed to give a script as we cover an agreed amount to cover for consultation and for medication. If a Network Dr does not have the medication in stock they will have to order it and then inform you.

We will make sure that they have the correct formula and that the medication will be covered according to the Formula that is applicable.

For any changes that need to be done, 30 days notice needs to be given. The request to make the relevant changes was only on the 27/06/2017.

Essential Med strives in the best service delivery towards all our valued clients.

Kind regards,

Essential Med
