More than a year and no bills paid
To any one wanting to get medical insurance, look else where. Essential med promises you everything on their website but when it's time to pay they have every story in the book to try get out. I had to pay doctors bills and hospital bills because they won't pay because they say my wife was not registered on the policy, yet I paid each month for the both of us and the policy card we had, had her name on it. I have been pushed from pillar to post from person to the next. There is no communication from them at all.

Thank you for bringing your concerning matter to our attention.
We would like to reiterate we have a 12 month waiting period on maternity.
Your inception date on your policy is 1st of August 2013 and your first request for authorisation was on the 20th of August 2013 whereby you were informed that the authorisation was declined due to her waiting period.
In the month of January 2014 authorisation was requested again for admission but have been declined. She was admitted into the maternity ward for UTI that is relating to the maternity and she was 35 weeks pregnant.
The day to day claim is not paid due to the claim being stale.
One of our consultants requested the necessary documentation on several occasions from you. Due to not receiving the requested documentation in time from you the claim became stale.
Your policy has lapsed.
Essential Med strives in the best service delivery towards all our valued clients.
Kind regards,
Essential Group
