***********, illiterate staff in pre-authorisations

According to Nicolene Williams, a torn meniscus is an illness not an injury! She refuses full authorisation as I did not report the injury within 24 hours. My son fell on a Saturday. It was not a life threatening fall so we went to the GP in the next week who referred us to an Orthodaedic Surgeon. Now anyone with half a brain cell will know that there is a LONG waiting period to see the surgeon. The surgeon then diagnosed the torn meniscus! Now please can someone explain to me how I was suppose to do report this within 24 hours? Essential med reply saying "hospital authorisations are dealing with the matter". NO THEY NOT. I am dealing with an *********** person who does not have a clue regarding medical issues!!!!!!
