Extremely bad Service
Early Jan, I got ill and had to visit a Dr, went to my nominated Dr who turned back as he had not received payment from essential med, I then contacted them and they gave a me list of Dr's near the area (it wasn't even near me) I stay in Midrand and had to drive around in Tembisa/Ivory Park to find these Dr's and they all turned back for the same reason (payment), called them again and they referred me to a Dr Kumalo had to drive to him and he agreed to see me. Then last week I called Essential for a list of dentist they gave me about 3 contacts and all would not see as essential med doesn't pay, so I called them for more dentist and to my surprise I was told I have an outstanding amount, my last visit to Dr Kumalo wasn't paid as its an old account and I had to settle the debt 1st, why am I paying from this out of my own pocket when I have never missed a single premium on this plan?? out of the15 months I have been on this plan I have used it only 4 times for GP's only. I am not happy with their service especially since they have sent me to Dr's who would not accept me as sick as I was, had to spent my cash for petrol and the calls I made to them, and now have to pay this Dr
