Essential med is a prepaid hospital plan

I would like to warn people. For general Dr visits this is fine. If u get involved in anithing like a car crash and need to be admitted to hospital the policy wording states. U need a treatment plan. A quote. A diagnosis. So u will not get any authorization to be admitted. If they take any test like xray or anything u must pay. I had to pay R26000 upfront on 14 Feb 2019 before my daughter was admitted.check if Africa assist is ur underwriter a d please stay away. They will let u bleed to death before helping u. So essentialmed is a no go area
