Name to be cleared on credit bureau

Good day<br> <br> Last year i took a loan from this company and repaid it back on time as per the agreement. Now a year later i apply for credit else where, i am being told that i still owe Essential Credit an amount which i took last year. I am so angry as i paid them on time yet they did not update this on my credit profile. Will someone assist me in clearing my name as i am really ticked off from finding this out yet i paid year ago and even forgot about them.
