High cost and very poor delivery service by UPS / SAPO

Order placed 2021-11-01. Paid by my bank 2021-11-04. I initially thought that I had been ****med but no, they are legitimate But - Parcel arrived 2022-01-14 - to be fetched from the local SAPO. Delivery by UPS but handed over to SAPO for final delivery. Really? Is UPS that ******** about the SAPO? The same or similar products are now available from Clicks and Dischem - off the shelf and no delivery risk involved. So why would one order from the USA at 7+ times the cost?
