Unfinished bond due to bank's negligence

MY deceased husband bought a house through Eskom Finance Company. This bond never seem to end. They stopped debiting last year October. When deciding to sell I requested balance statement lo and behold there is a balance of R7091.39 . Amazingly they stopped to debit on their own accord. This bond would have been paid up by now.
