Unannounced Power Outages for up to 12 Hours

<p>I reside in Kuilsriver, Sunbird Park, Cape Town. For the last couple of months we’ve been experiencing power outages at different times of the day, ranging from 1 hour to 5 hours. Sometimes exceeding 12 hours. I’m sure it’s not load shedding as the streetlights are still on and also some of the houses in the area still has power. In our area we have a power station where I always see Eskom vans parked outside. Now I’m not sure if it’s because of them… Perhaps you can advise. I do understand that Eskom has to be busy there, as there are constant new housing developments happening at Bardale Village. But I’m also sure that notifications must be issued advising the residents of the times for these outages. I hope that this e-mail reaches someone that’ll be able to advise what we as residents can do, as it effects everything in our daily lives for e.g. food preparation, kids that can’t study & do research, people working from home, preparing for work, Alarm back-up battery power drained, etc.</p>
