Silent Treatment from Eskom

I am a resident of Vosloorus extension 25, we have been without electricity for 8 days now and we are not getting any concrete statement from Eskom as to when electricity will be restored. They came and advised that the transformer is broken. Indeed the transformer will break if no maintenance is performed on it or if it has reached its lifespan. We deserve some respect from Eskom in terms of informing residents as to what are they doing on their side and when is electricity going to be restored.
