****** of a basic right to Electricity
In the early hours of 27 Feb 2022, Sunday morning my kitchen burned down due to the box of Eskom. Luckily we could stop the fire before it spread to other parts of the house. I lost everything in my kitchen. I called Eskom they came that same Sunday and they told me to make a statement at the police station and I got a reference number *** from them. After that they never showed up again. I called several times but nothing happen. On 11 March 2022 I called again and I got a reference number again *** and no one showed up once again. Its been a month that I am without electricity. To have electricity is a basic right that I am being ****** of. You Eskom has not only ****** me of electricity but also of my appliances and cubboards that has burned out due to your meter box that has start the fire in my kitchen. If this was in one of the rich areas in Cape Town that people would have had electricity the same day. Why should I be without it. I can't buy meet or anything because how would I be able to cook. I have a disabled daughter that must eat in order to drink her pills. If there is someone at Eskom with a heart please instruct your employees to restore my electricity so that I can provide with proper food for my children. I am sick and tired to ask other people if I can make food or cook water at their house. May God work in your heart and mind to feel what I am currently going through just to make ends meat so that my kids can eat. With these reference numbers you can trace my calls and also get my number to give me a call. I hope my electricity will be restored before Sunday so that I can cook a proper meal. For all my appliances that I lost I hope you will help me with a claim. Thank you in advance Emily Johannes
