Ridiculous Service Ever!!!

On 12 January 2026, Lady Frere Machubeni in Platkop , experienced a power outage that left the village without electricity for a week. Although electricity was later restored in some areas, the area where my parents live was excluded, and no reason was provided.

I contacted Eskom on 16 January 2026 to request assistance, and a service request was logged. However, to this day, the area is still without electricity. I have followed up again and was informed that there are “no resources available.” For the past few days, I have been told that Eskom will dispatch technicians, but no clear timeframe has been given.

In the meantime, my parents who are pensioners are living in darkness. This situation is very sad and unacceptable. What is even more frustrating is that an Eskom van came to the area and left without providing any information or assistance.
